Solutions for domestic use

The ultrafiltration process uses normal water pressure and, using activated carbon sediment filters combined with an ultrafiltration membrane, traps impurities from old pipes, completely eliminates chlorine, suspended substances and blocks any access to pathogenic bacteria and nitrates, giving the water an authentic, unadulterated taste.
Water supplied through an Ultrafiltration plant is completely chlorine-free and limits the mineral salt content. For this reason, purified water can be used not only for drinking, but also for cooking.
Furthermore, by purifying water with Ultrafiltration, you can save on the purchase of bottled water by drastically reducing the use of plastic while respecting the environment.
The cost of an Ultrafiltration plant is certainly lower than one based on Reverse Osmosis.

The Reverse Osmosis system is the safest and most widely used method of purifying domestic water for food use in the world, because it completely eliminates polluting particles without using any chemicals.
Osmosis is the spontaneous passage of a solvent (which in biological systems is usually water) between two solutions separated by a permeable membrane, in which the solvent passes from a less concentrated solution to a more concentrated one until an equilibrium situation is reached.
In order to purify water by Reverse Osmosis, it is necessary to reverse the natural process of osmosis by pushing the water to a higher operating pressure than the osmotic pressure, so as to induce reversal: the fluids are thus pushed forward through the membrane, while the dissolved solids remain on the other side.
Thanks to the effective action of the latest generation of membranes, which retain up to 99% solid particles and bacteria, harmful substances are eliminated. Mineral salts are reduced to a level that is optimal for the human body. For this reason, osmotic water is never free of salts, i.e. it is not completely demineralised, it is only lighter while maintaining a low fixed residue.
Reverse osmosis systems that are used in the domestic sector where water is particularly hard or rich in salts are indispensable in some areas where the presence of nitrates is high (close to the maximum legal value of 50 mg/l).
Reverse osmosis devices are also particularly useful in environments such as offices, hotels, restaurants, bars, farmhouses etc.
Furthermore, by purifying water with the Reverse Osmosis method, you can save on the purchase of bottled water by drastically reducing the use of plastic while respecting the environment.

There is also another solution for water treatment called softening, which is a technical intervention upstream of the domestic water system.
A water softener can be seen as a filter that removes limescale from water, making it less hard. The minerals responsible for the hardness of water are in particular calcium and magnesium: the more the content of these dissolved minerals increases, the harder the water becomes.
The water softener is a great solution to solve the problem of limescale in the pipes (ideal for appliances, the boiler, laundry and daily showers).
Limescale-rich water damages all plumbing pipes and water-using appliances, especially washing machines and dishwashers. Not only does limescale damage the filter and heating element of the washing machine, but it forces you to use more detergent and consume more electricity. Limescale also reduces the efficiency of boilers by causing blockages in the pipes, increasing the cost of domestic water heating by around 15-20%. In addition, high water hardness lowers the efficiency of detergents and causes problems with seals and filters.
With the installation of a softener, softened water is only deprived of its magnesium and calcium content and a certain amount of sodium is added during the softening process. For this reason, softened water is not recommended for drinking in most cases. In areas with very high hardness, softened water should not be used for the preparation of milk for infants, because of the higher sodium content added after the softening process.
